I began drawing this panorama on a train, coming back home from Rome. Last time I visited my grandparents, before the lockdown due to Covid-19, I went to the garden to check if everything was ok.
The thing that surprised me was that the overall proportions were right, but the garden has changed in several details. The bench where I broke my leg when I was a child is no longer there, the big Cedrus Libani has been pruned.
But the roses are still there.
